qcar.jpgNew Orleans organist/multi-instrumentalist Quintron’s 2003 album, Are You Ready For An Organ Solo?, is swampy, dirty fun–particularly the messy rave-up “Mud Bugs,” which brings cheerleader chants and horror-flick organ runs together in a hair-raising way.

Quintron! I love these wacky artsy people!

Hey Idolator, come one, we want interview. Idolator style. I bet it’ll be a blast.

And now that you’ve post quintron. I suppose I have to put you in my blogroll. It’s a big deal blogroll ya know. :D

…..Recorded a little dry, maybe, but the tone was spot-on from the days of Jon Lord and Deep Purple. Great stuff! At least the organ parts. I could have done without hopping-electro-bugs section. I definitely won’t be putting a Drum Buddy on my Christmas list.

…..On the other hand, a keyboard that has good, authentic sounds like this song features, I’d be all over…
