When we first heard that the California Nurses Association was bankrolling a politically themed rap song, we thought, “Now there’s an easy post–we’ll just find the video, make some easy-punchline gags, and go back to trying to find the MyChemRo album on Oink.” But after listening to the song (which supports an on-the-ballot anti-lobbying measure), we were pleastantly surprised: It’s no “Chain Hang Low,” mind you, but it’s got a decent-enough hook, and it stays on message, which is more than you can say for most hip-hop singles this year.
