The Vault: Debbie Deb Works It In Anticipation Of The Weekend

dd.jpgWe know, we know–it’s late on a Monday, a time when it’s almost cruel to post a song called “Lookout Weekend.” But when we were listening to our four-disc Freestyle’s Greatest Collection set earlier, this song, with its barely-there Pretty Tony instrumentation and a tossed-off, half-in-key vocal take from Miami singer Debbie Deb, just sounded great, right down to its last electro-claps.

This track is coming back and in a big way. It’s prominently featured on Hollertronix’ mix Never Scared and Janet Jackson released an internet-only cover.

…..I’ve got one of those really old Roland drum boxes somewhere down in the basement. No Prophet V, though. I knew this had to be really old when the pic had a nice pair of jeans featured, not the loose, I’m so meth-ed up my pants won’t stay on jeans we see these days!
