Call For Mash-Ups: We Need Your Help Hooking Up Some Strange Bedfellows

Oct 25th, 2006 // 3 Comments

Last week, we asked you for a mash-up of Scary Spice and Eddie Murphy. Why? We can’t quite remember. But we didn’t hear back, and now we’re thinking we should be more specific when it comes to mash-up requests.

So we present you with a challenge: Can you take any of the following combinations and make them into a semi-decent mash-up? We’d do it ourselves, but we have no mixing-cutting-whathaveyou skills when it comes to these things. But we do know our way around a bad pun, and we’d really like for any of the following ideas to come to life:

“When You Were Jung” (The Killers + The Police’s “Synchronicity II”)
“(Another One Bites) Another One Bites The Dust” (Queen + Justin Timberlake’s suspiciously familiar-sounding “FutureSex/LoveSound”)
“Too Little, Too Late, Too Funky” (JoJo + George Michael)

And for the really ambitious:
“Welcome To The Black Album” (My Chemical Romance + Prince)

Come on, people! Make us happy. We work from home, and we’re so very, very cold today.

how about “Be Near My Starlight” combining Muse “Starlight” and ABC “Be Near Me”

i would like to think that anyone with enough talent to mash-up songs would clearly realize that MCR never in a million years deserves to be on the same track as Prince, the same with the police and The Killers, and JT and Queen. Stop putting thoughts like this in peoples minds, Idolator, your better than that.

Funny that you use Prince for a side-by-side. When I look at that MCR guy, I see bald Billy Corgan mixed with Leto’s Angel Face in Fight Club.
