Listening Station: Lisa Germano’s Sweet “Oblivion”
Lisa Germano’s violinist credits stretch from John Mellencamp to David Bowie, and even veer off into Billy Joel territory; her most recent solo album, In the Maybe World, is a meditation on loss that’s defined by her breathy voice and sparse bits of piano. The hazy, melancholic “Into Oblivion” is a particular favorite of ours, but really, the whole record is an absolute stunner.
