Welcome to another edition of “Please Release Me,” in which your Idolators request–nay beg–that an out-of-print, delayed or held-up-in-customs album be issued stateside:
Artist: The Rifles Hometown: London, England Album: No Love Lost, 2006 What is it?: We need another scrappy British guitar band like we need another sappy British prime minister, but blimeny gee: The Rifles cop from the very best (Paul Weller, the Chords, and, uh, Paul Weller), Love Lost has at least three ace singles, and we’re grateful for any U.K. band that doesn’t sound like Starsailor covering Coldplay. Where is it?: Released overseas in July, No Love Lost hasn’t made a blip over here, though we think any of the following singles could get things going:
