Liner Notes: Even On The Slowest News Day Of All Time, We’ll Always Have Madonna

- The New York Post confirms our fears that limey hacks and Third World urchins don’t mix. [NY Post]
- The Duran Duran/Timbaland collaboration has yielded three songs, all of which will appear on next May’s new double-D album. Justin Timberlake appears on only one song, as he and Simon Le Bon spent most of their time trying to one-up each other with crazy Janice Dickinson stories. [Billboard]
- This is it, folks: The most boring news story to which we’ve ever linked. You’re curious, but trust us, it’ll still disappoint. [NME]

  1. Ned Raggett

I agree, “NME.COM Launches US Music News” is both boring AND disappointing.

  2. Juancho

I was afraid he was talking about Franz Ferdinand covering Gwen Stefani.

What scares me even more is that, according to what she told Billboard, there appears to be more Nelly Furtado/Timbaland on the horizon…..

  3. Chris Molanphy

Wow, and I thought “Make Trade Fair” was a boring rock-star cause…

  4. Clare

Oh my God, I’m seriously already tingly with anticipation for the Duran Duran and Timbaland project. Tingly!

  5. Bob Loblaw

In a weird flip-a-roo, clicking the NME link did NOT disappoint, only because I’d been prepared for said disappointment beforehand, and then it was a thousand times more boring than I’d expected, which made it somehow hilarious.
