From a listing on mediabistro (reg. required):

Sr. Manager/Director, Marketing and Promotions Publication or Company mtvU Industry Marketing, Online/New Media Salary Freelance Job Duration Full Time Job LocationNew York, NY USA Job Requirements • AGENCY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED • CLEINT RELATIONSHIPS REQUIRED o Relationships with marketing/brand managers at consumer product and/or electronic companies • 4-5 YEARS EXEPEIENCE REQUIRED o In marketing in media, consumer products, or event marketing • PowerPoint and deck writing abilities REQUIRED • Strong Organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize • Creative, Detail-oriented, team player • Computer: PowerPoint, MS Word, Excel, PhotoShop • Bachelors Degree Required

The grammatical mistakes alone are an eyesore (if you’re going to ask for deck-writing abilities, you’ve gotta learn to hyphenate, not hyphenhate!). But what’s really depressing is that MTV is asking for 5 years of work experience, and yet still providing freelance pay, with presumably no benefits. Don’t they have enough money these days to at least throw in some 401k/dental for their overqualified full-time staffers? Or is all the money going to Damien Fahey’s cowlick-upkeep fund?
