Recently, the Idolator flophouse was gifted with a menacing-looking new CD shredder–nicknamed “Dicey”–and it’s been instrumental in clearing our workspace of unwanted promotional discs. We’ve decided to start cataloging some of Dicey’s conquests, and since capturing executions via cameraphone seem to be all the rage these days, we’re happy to share the NSFW proceedings:

THE VICTIM: Family Values Tour 2006 PUNISHABLE OFFENSES: Values contains five mind-alteringly awful live Korn songs, not to mention tracks from Flyleaf, Deadsy and Stone Sour. Plus, it has one of those promotional warnings stamped right on the disc, meaning secondspin.com won’t buy it (or so we hear). DID IT DIE WITH HONOR?: Yes. While other discs tend to make hellacious crackling noises–one rap CD we shredded seemed as though it would actually spit hot fire–Family Values quickly and quietly reduced itself to a green-and-gold pile of confettii.
