Ghettotech Fans Mourn Disco D

For those of you unfamiliar with David Shayman–better known as Disco D, the Detroit-area producer who committed suicide yesterday at the age of 27–here’s a quick run-down of his career highlights: He produced tracks for the likes of 50 Cent, Spank Rock, and Trick Daddy; he founded several record labels, including Detroit Ghettotech; and he took on numerous side projects, from commercial gigs (he wrote music for Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards show) to that infamous Arnold in Brazil video.
