Welcome to “On The Flippity-Flop,” where your Idolators spotlight unjustly ignored B-sides, bonus tracks, compilation contributions, and EP cuts. Send your suggestions to tips@idolator.com.

ARTIST: Suede SONG: “My Insatiable One” FIRST APPEARANCE: “The Drowners” 12″/CD, 1992 WHY IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN AN A-SIDE: In 1992, magazines on the other side of the pond touted Suede as one of the best bands in the UK on the strength of just a few singles. “My Insatiable One,” which only appeared on two of the three versions of Suede’s first single (does that make it a C-side?), is a big reason why; it’s a stretched-out, mournful track that’s full of hazy longing and painkiller-blurred guitar. Heck, “Insatiable” even got covered by Morrissey a few weeks after its release, which should serve as a stronger argument for its greatness than anything else we could put here.
