The Vault: The Dream Syndicate Ages Like A Fine Wine

dreamsyndicate.jpgIt’s been almost twenty-five years since the release of the Dream Syndicate’s paisley-rock touchstone The Days Of Wine And Roses, and we’re still trying to figure out how Steve Wynn strangled those squibs of fuzz from his guitar (we’re also still trying to figure out how he managed to become a billionaire from one low-selling college-rock album, but maybe we’re missing something). The Syndicate has gotten a few posthumous kudos in the past few years, but we still think the group is sorely underrated, as proven by these two classic tracks:

The Dream Syndicate – Tell Me When It’s Over [MP3, link expired]
The Dream Syndicate – Then She Remembers [MP3, link expired]

  1. Ned Raggett

All about “Halloween” and the title track. And Karl Precoda forever or something.

  2. cyruscope

I still have the cassette version of this that I played endlessly in high school. “Then She Remembers” is the track I used to air guitar like mad to. Thanks for this!

  3. Little White Earbuds

This album is incredible; good choice, Idolators.

You guys, that’s NOT the same Steve Wynn. The link is of the famous Vegas casino owner and land developer. Silly people.

    Get your facts right!!!
