Videodrone: Cheap Trick Does It For The Kids
Last week, we found a vintage clip of Patti Smith playing to an audience of adorably cheery moppets during an appearance on Kids Are People, Too; and now, a tipster has sent along footage of a Cheap Trick performance from the same show. It’s a strange two-parter: In the first installment, Robin and Rick play a so-so stripped-down version of “Voices,” but in the second segment, they’re treated to a spirited Q&A session with the show’s audience, which includes a group of girl scouts. Why couldn’t we have been on this when we were eight?
