The Vault: Silicon Teens Turn On The Drum Machines

One of the highlights of our RSS reader is power pop lovers, which is made up of tireless archivers who rescue out-of-print gems from the depths of their vinyl collection and put them online for the powerpop-starved next generations to enjoy. Today, they posted Music For Parties by the Silicon Teens, the synth-rock outfit that was masterminded by Mute Records’ Daniel Miller and fronted by actors during press appearances. Music For Parties, their lone album, was full of robot-rock reinterpretations of Chuck Berry, The Kinks, and more; two tracks from it are below:
