Supergrass Still Growing On Us After All These Years

Hearing the news that Supergrass would be one of the opening acts for Arctic Monkeys’ July shows in Manchester made us wince a little bit, but at least it was an excuse for us to pull out the band’s fine 1996 album In It For The Money. And yes, we’re old probably wallowing in nostalgia a bit too much for our own good, but even the most diehard believer in the Monkeys’ Sound Of New Britain touts has to admit that the Ghostface-approved bass line on “I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor” pales in comparison to the theremin solo on In It For The Money‘s “Richard III”:
