Listening Station: The Gentle Good’s Welsh Lullabies

We took in a brief, but enchanting, set by the Welshman who performs under the name The Gentle Good tonight on the recommendation of a pal; with a velvety voice and accompanied only by an acoustic guitar, he crooned folk songs and lullabies in Welsh and English, and he closed out his set with a song about watching a yellowfin tuna for a drunkard in South America. (Yes, really; it’s on MySpace page, and he was coy about whether or not it was a true story.) “Amser,” the MP3 below, adds strings and chimes to the mix, but it’s the delicately picked guitar that still shines through:
