Stuck On Repeat: The Dawn Of The Twilight Sad

twisad.jpgThe blogosphere has been talking up Glasgow’s the Twilight Sad for some time now, and with good reason: The band’s recently released Fourteen Autumns & Fifteen Winters is as enjoyably frowny-faced as you’d expect from a bunch of Scots, with guitars that our inner-hack wants to describe as “thunderclappish”:

The Twilight Sad – Cold Days From The Birdhouse [MP3, link expired]
The Twilight Sad – That Summer, At Home I Had Become The Invisible Boy [MP3, link expired]
The Twilight Sad [MySpace]

I think the title “That Summer…” comes from the movie Stand By Me. They should get Dreyfuss samples in a remix.

This is a good band. One of my favorite releases this year.
