Mims’ Label Might Want To Find Less Litigious Sources For Its Clip Art
German fans have to find another place to buy Mims’ hit album Music Is My Savior in light of a new lawsuit filed by popular German rapper Bushido over the artwork on the album cover.
According to reports, the suit stems from a similarity between a silhouette of Bushido from the cover of the rapper’s Deutschland Gib Mir Ein Mic CD/DVD and the “I” in the logo for Mims’ name on the cover of Music Is My Savior.
There’s a new cover, complete with new arm-throwing “i,” for the album up on Mims’ Web site; the only problem is, because of the angle that the arm is arched at, it looks as if the “This Is Why I’m Hot” rapper has, temporarily, changed his name to Myms. Here’s hoping he doesn’t decide to get into the discount-apparel business anytime soon.
