I love how the postmodern indie mantle allows us to go and reclaim some of the awesomeness that was early 90s pop/R&B. I’m gonna grudgingly give credit to p-fork, but there were probably earlier examples. That SWV song was the joint back in the day, but there’s no way I would’ve been able to openly enjoy it at the time.

Thanks for the blog exposure folks. I don’t think there are few things more entertaining then having a few drinks and watching music videos.

While what you say may be true, I am not merely waking up [and warming up] to the awesomeness of old school jams. I was raised on that shit. One of those rare black kids who knew only of rap, hip-hop and R&B. I didn’t encounter indie rock and roll til about 2001 0r 2002. Real late to the came.

I mean there are few things more enterataining than…aww fuck it

I loved the R&B of the 90s, I really miss that golden era. It was also the time when I started watching videos on MTV, and I didn’t know you could find such lavish settings in a video clip, let alone abuse gold so much, heh.
