Listening Station: Kanye West Has “Young Folks” On The Brain, Too

Kanye West’s latest mix tape, Can’t Tell Me Nothing (twisted-neon cover at left), hit the Internet over the weekend, and among the 25 tracks are a snippet of “Stronger,” his collaboration with Daft Punk, and two tracks that sample the whistling Swedes Peter, Bjorn & John. In “Young Folks” and “Interviews,” Kanye takes the time to call for artist approval of non-Q & A cover stories, talk about how he’s been whacked out of his mind on the drug called “fame,” and–perhaps unsurprisingly–reference the tagline of MTV’s possibly late, definitely unlamented Diary:
