The show that had the unenviable position of following The Sopranos‘ parting tribute to America was the cryptic, Luke Perry-ified John From Cincinnati, and it was chock-full of elliptical dialogue and long gazes at the Pacific Ocean. (We’re going to keep it on the flophouse TiVo for now, if only because we’re into supporting Luis Guzman in his acting endeavors.) A reader e-mailed us wondering if we could track down the “wonderful, propulsive, jubilant, rocking, and confoundingly uncredited” song that ran over last night’s closing credits, and after plugging the super-distorted lyrics–which, we’re a little geeked to say, we nailed on our first try–into Google, we found it:

Kasabian – Sun/Rise/Light/Flies [MP3, link expired] John From Cincinnati [HBO.com]
