“Okay, Show Me ‘Wacky, Yet Soulful'”
We try to give every new band a fair shake, but TOCA–an L.A. group recently profiled in Buzz Bands–is making it awfully hard to take them seriously. Maybe it’s the over-sized novelty glasses, or maybe it’s the Monkees-styles positioning, or maybe it’s the ski-cap-on-the-beach zaniness; for whatever reason, this photo just screams “slap bass.”
