Once Again, “Where’s Izzy” Will Be A Familiar Refrain For Guns N’ Roses Fans

rscover.jpgIzzy Stradlin’s official site has the latest news on that 20th-anniversary-of-Appetite For Destruction party that Steven Adler is throwing this Saturday, and that Adler has been billing as a “reunion” because the other original members of Guns N’ Roses may show up: “…Steven is playing Key Club this Saturday…. I may drop by and say hello. Cheers, Izzy.” Well, that’s a commitment of sorts (on the Guns N’ Roses scale, anyway)–if Gilby Clarke shows up instead, it probably isn’t completely unfair to call total and utter BS. In other news, this week’s Rolling Stone cover honors Appetite, and uses an image that I’m pretty sure hung in my locker for at least a year or two during middle school.

    I’m waiting for next year’s 15th Anniversary of “The Spaghetti Incident?”…

    Great album, but at one point does RS become simply a journal devoted to nostalgia journal instead of one looking at new music?

    Wait.

  3. Hallux Valgus

    strangely, Saturday is also the 10th anniversary of the first time Chinese Democracy was supposed to drop.

    @Big Money, No Whammies: No?

    This thing is BS anyway, it’s been concocted in Steven Adler’s drug-addled brain like all the other GNR “reunions” that haven’t happened over the past 15 years. Anyone with even a remote reading of the situation could see that any conceivable reunion would involve Matt Sorum anyway.

    Sorum, Slash, Izzy and Duff played together at a Camp Freddy show a few years back. They played Mr. Brownstone & Izzy sang. I think that’s the closest thing to a reunion that’s going to happen.
    If you want to see how fucked up Steven Adler got from drugs, go to youtube and do a search for “Steven Adler Hard Copy”. Just say no.
