downwithfob.jpgI have three words for this remix of “This Ain’t A Scene, It’s An Arms Race” that features verses by the dude from the Gym Glass Heroes, Kanye West, Tyga, Paul Wall, Lupe Fiasco, and–of course–Lil’ Wayne: Not enough Stump. But I did get a chuckle from Kanye’s admission that he has absolutely no idea what the heck Pete Wentz’s lyrics are going on about. [Buzznet]

I admit the only guy I ever notice in those Fall Out Boy promo shots is the dude with the long hair and glasses. Must be some form of identification.

  2. Al Shipley

Kanye’s original remix of the song (with the same beat and just his verse) actually came out way back in February, I guess they just now got around to putting all the other guest appearances on it.

  3. Rob Murphy

    Akon wasn’t available?

Actually, I dug that mix — as well as a shorter mix featuring only Stump and Kanye that has been floating around for some time.

Some of these DJ remixes actually work better if they don’t use the complete “original” with inserted rap verses. One verse from the original can serve as the singer’s “guest” verse, and the music and chorus can tie the rest together. Or something like that.

Yeah, I liked the original remix with just Kanye, it had a certain charm. This version just feels overstuffed and desperate.

Man, i could have sworn that the three words would be “Fall Out Boy is fucking lame”.
