Sugababes have been long-standing fans of the mash-up, so it’s probably not surprising that the single from the British trio’s latest incarnation sounds like someone trying to recapture the lightning in a bottle that was “A Stroke Of Genie-Us.” It’s almost successful, but am I a jerk for thinking that I’d be much more receptive to its incessant peppiness if it wasn’t by the group that shares a name with the ladies who, long ago, brought the world “Overload”?
