Denny’s To Offer Customers Music Downloads, Down-Home Racism, Sugar-Bloated Corpse

Following on from Krystal’s “free downloads with every-fowl-based purchase” promotion, folks who eat at Denny’s (I’m assuming there’s some customer-base crossover there) will be get a free code with every delicious, sugary Coke beverage purchased starting in October, whereby they can go to Denny’s Web site and enjoy cruddy, sugary country-pop from the likes of Taylor Swift and Bucky Covington.

And if you’re currently Web-less, fear not, because according to the restaurant’s press release, “Guests who do not have Internet access will receive a special $3 off coupon valid at select music retailers and can mail in an entry for the VIP trip.” Which seems to be Denny’s way of saying “If you don’t have Internet access, we will give you a coupon worth 3X as much as the cost of a single download. Because we pity you.” I will not be participating, however, because the last time I ate at a Denny’s (the Olympia, Wash., branch if you’re curious) I found what was either a human finger/toenail or some sort of hardened skin lesion in my lunch. But don’t let that stop you, Sugarland fans!
