This Just In: Jennifer Lopez May Not Be Worth The Money She’s Demanding From Sony

Her new album may be tanking faster than you can say “Songs About Girls,” but that hasn’t stopped Jennifer Lopez from demanding that her label, Sony BMG, shell out a lot of cash to cater to her whims.

“She costs too much money and doesn’t sell enough,” says the source, who is familiar with the issue. “Her last album cover alone cost $60,000 in hair and makeup, lighting, photographers, re-touching, etc. The video budget was in the neighborhood of $300,000.”

$60,000 for that cover. Yes, really. I’d write “and people wonder why the music business is in trouble,” but really, all I can think of is the fact that the sparkles behind Jenny From The Block’s face must have been hand-crafted by pixies rescued from Icelandic caves.
