Busted Get Sued, Remind Us They Existed

Approximately 12 people in America remember Brit pop trio Busted, let alone care about the fact that two former members are suing the band for back royalties for four songs they claimed to have co-written before getting the boot, songs that ended up becoming some of Busted’s biggest U.K. hits. But this story did allow me to take a sublime-to-ridiculous break from bingeing on PJ Harvey’s White Chalk to hit up YouTube and reaffirm my love for Busted’s “You Said No (Crash And Burn),” a slick, ersatz pop-punk tale of unrequited love and disco shame that’s just sugar-coated enough to get hated on by half or more of Idolator’s readership. (On the other hand, those charmed by the more recent peppy, pubescent-baiting pop-rock of the Jonas Brothers may thoroughly enjoy it.) You have been warned! [Billboard/YouTube]
