Mitch Winehouse at the unveiling of his daughter’s wax statue at Madame Tussaud’s in London yesterday: “We’re going to take this one home with us and take the real one back. This one does what she’s told and doesn’t move.” But, Mitch, the wax one can’t play those “two or three gigs” that you’re so excited about her playing, even though she should probably just rest instead of slurring and punching her way through shows. I guess you’re looking forward to them because they pave the way for you to make more public appearances at which you can make “cheeky” statements like that one? Oh, the torments facing the lives of the world’s stage parents. [Mirror]
