AP080808032413.jpgThe Girl Talk dude is planning his final show for Dec. 21, 2012–the day that the world will end, according to the Mayan calendar. It’ll be 24 hours long and “really make it bad for [the audience] for like 20 hours and … kill it for four hours, and everyone will be really excited.” Hey, why does he even have to worry about killing it for four hours? It’s not like anyone will be able to irritably blog about what happened in the moments right before they were pulverized to smithereens. [MTV]

isn’t it cute how he thinks people will still care about him in 2012?

@Maura Johnston: between girl talk & john edwards, narcissists are having the best week ever.

Too bad this gimmick won’t work, as Buffy Summers will inevitably stop the apocalypse.

GT shows are fun, and you’re right. No one will want that in four years.

Gillis should really work on being a bigger asshole, instead of just stating that he wants to have a 24-hour party to finish this project. Obviously I’m missing the narcissistic slant.
