The Fred Durst-directed film The Longshots may have been received tepidly by critics, but guess what, suckers? Audiences loved it, giving it an A according to post-screening polls conducted by CinemaScore. This could have been the result of the movie’s self-selected audience pool–the flick, which stars Ice Cube and Keke Palmer, was No. 8 at the box office over the weekend after grossing $4.3 million–or it could just be yet another sign that “loathed by The Man, loved by the common man” is Durst’s favorite method of rebellion.
