Industry gossip rag Hits‘ preliminary sales reports indicate that next week’s SoundScan charts will look pretty rough: “As we go into the weekend, it appears that not one album on next Tuesday’s chart will even approach six figures. Columbia’s Bruce Springsteen will return to the top spot with 70-75k, followed by this week’s #1, Atlantic’s Kid Rock, with 65-70k.” Cheer up, everybody: At least Magic’s soft one-week sales won’t be the worst total by a No. 1 album this year! Right? Guys? Where are you all going? [Hits via The Daily Swarm]
