Jimmy Kimmel will be back once again to host the still-kicking American Music Awards, which air Nov. 23. Nominations haven’t been announced yet, but Pink and the Jonas Brothers have been announced as performers, so feel free to draw your own conclusions. Some of you may remember that last year’s show opened with will.i.am and Nicole Scherzinger flogging their floptastic albums–and somehow, it got worse from there, thanks in no small part to Kimmel being forced to ad-lib his way through the writer-free broadcast. (Although ABC’s “let’s run ads to make up for the lack of scripted zingers” strategy didn’t exactly help matters.) Well, at least the show will have writers this year, right? [AP]
