Sure, you could pay $26 to see the old awning of CBGB as part of the New York Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Tour, but if you want to see the closed club’s real nuts and bolts, head on out to Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Inside a 3,000-square-foot storage space, you’ll find old paperwork from the business (including notebooks that reviewed auditioning bands) and tons of panties emblazoned with the CBGB logo. But not the bar, alas: That’s stashed in–heavens!–Connecticut. [NYT]
