Dennis Yost, R.I.P.

Dec 9th, 2008 // Comment

Dennis Yost, singer and drummer for late sixties act Classics IV, passed away of respiratory failure on Sunday outside of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Yost had been in poor health for several years following a serious fall in 2006; in recent years he had fought for the rights of performers against copycat touring groups. His group Classics IV had three top ten hits, “Stormy” (above, 1968), “Spooky” (1967) and “Traces” (1969).

Yost was 65.
