The New York City club B.B. King’s is offering a 50% discount on tickets to anyone who’s unemployed during the month of February. The only catch: The jobless have to come up to the club and show proof of their unemployment—i.e. a stub from a benefits check and a photo ID—in order to get the tickets. I guess that’s so the still-employed don’t get to see Blackstreet for $17.50 instead of $35, but what about the client-deprived freelancers out there? At this point, I can’t see how turning anyone away from potentially being a paying customer is a good idea. [Billboard / Pic via wockerjabby]
