Even though Kelly Clarkson’s new single might set all kinds of records, she still gets no respect. Noting that it was written by the team who wrote Katy Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl,” Rolling Stone tries to argue that “Perry seems to be a major influence for Clarkson’s new album”—but Max Martin and Dr. Luke, of course, penned “Since U Been Gone.” If Kelly starts riding a giant dildo, we can talk, but for now let’s restrict “Katy Perry, musical influence” to the realm of speculative fiction.
