Get Well Soon, Buddy Miller

Buddy Miller is one of those musicians that you can’t help but cheer for the more you know about him. By all accounts, he’s one of the nicer guys in the business; he’s married to Julie Miller, who is little less than joy personified; and, by the way, he’s an incredible guitarist who has played on a stack of great records. After a show in Baltimore on Friday, Miller went to the hospital with chest pains; while there he apparently had some sort of surgery, but he’ll be released shortly. Buddy and Julie have a album coming out next month, Written in Chalk—if you enjoy Americana or whatever they’re calling it these days, it would be a wise purchase. In a continuing effort to appreciate musicians prior to writing an obituary later, a few Buddy Miller-related clips are below the cut.
