Ever Wonder Where Seven-Inches Come From? (Insert Your Own Silly Joke Here)

The BBC decided to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the 7-inch single with a trip to The Vinyl Factory, a UK company that, I should note, is putting out a droolworthy (and already sold out) box set version of the forthcoming album by the Pet Shop Boys. (The company also includes the fine UK music magazine Fact among its holdings.) Watch the process—which includes some sexy talk about injecting hot PVC—after the jump!

    As someone who DV-R’s How It’s Made I say thanks.

    @Michaelangelo Matos: Ha!
    I was once bed ridden sick on holiday in northern Romania, the British ‘How It’s Made’ was the only thing on the TV in English. Now, whenever I here “then the cutting machine cuts it to the appropriate length” in a northern accent, I feel a lil queezy..
