Friend of Idolator Christopher R. Weingarten takes a break from the normal waxing-about-Woodstock fare to see what the reactions to the three-day festival would have been like if the microblogging service Twitter had been around back then. [RS]

  1. Dumb question that I could probably Google for the answer: What does the “#” mean on Twitter?

  2. @MayhemintheHood: It’s called a “hashtag” — basically it’s a way to tag Tweets so they show up when certain terms are searched on.

  3. Ahhh, gotcha. My twitter experience is limited to looking at Shaquille O’neal’s one time at work.
