Robin Thicke Will Make You Cry In Ecstasy If You Want To

Despite coming out of the gate strong when it dropped last September, I got the feeling that pretty much everyone slept on Robin Thicke’s most recent album Something Else—a shame, because I thought it was a pretty fine record of grown-up R & B, and that Thicke’s croon, which could head into shiver-inducing falsettos as easy as it could put out plainspoken come-ons, had really come into his own since the days when he was playing around with “A Fifth Of Beethoven” while riding a bike. Well, apparently we as a nation will be given the chance to rectify that situation, as he already has a new album in the pipeline; “Sex Therapy” is the slow-jam first single, a Polow Da Don production that transforms Lesley Gore’s “It’s My Party” into a fluttery come-on. If you’re in an office and want to listen I’d recommend headphones, because it’s pretty steamy. Clip after the jump.
