It’s Westlife’s Icy Rendition Of Daughtry’s ‘What About Now’

While Daughtry’s sophomore album Leave This Town didn’t quite spark a breakout single after its July release, Irish quartet Westlife are keeping the rock band’s back catalog somewhat alive overseas with their cover of “What About Now.” The boy band’s rendition peaked at #2 in the U.K. a couple weeks back, held from the top by Girls Aloud’s Cheryl Cole, with her debut solo tune, “Fight For This Love.”

“What About Now” adds to the ‘life’s daring oeuvre that already includes covers of Billy Joel (“Uptown Girl”), Michael Bublé (“Home”), Bette Midler (“The Rose”) and Diana Ross (“When You Tell Me That You Love Me”) songs.

Here’s Westlife’s chilly video for “What About Now”:

Well, the scarves are quite nice!

Meanwhile, back on this side of the pond, Daughtry is set to duet with Vince Gill during tomorrow night’s broadcast of the Country Music Award, which airs on ABC at 8 pm.
