Natasha Bedingfield Writing With Kleerup And Sam Sparro For Her Next Album

Natasha Bedingfield, whose “Unwritten” is still veering toward major radio overkill territory three years later, has blogged that she’s been writing songs for her third album. While this is hardly cause to throw a ticker tape parade, some of the collaborators she mentions at least warrant a raised eyebrow.

It should be out sometime early next year hopefully. I’ve been writing with Kleerup, John Hill, Wycleff [her misspelling, not mine!], Salaam Remy, Ryan Tedder, Sia, Eg White, Wayne Wilkins, Phonogenic, Mike Elizondo, John Shanks, Danielle Brisebois and some others.

The mention of Andreas Kleerup sounds promising. Recently, his self-titled debut album finally saw a U.S. release on Astralwerks, after initially being issued in Sweden a year prior.

Here’s Kleerup’s collaboration with Robyn, “With Every Heartbeat,” which topped the U.K. singles chart in 2007:

Bedingfield also writes that she has a “good feeling” about a meeting with Sam Sparro, and that they’re “gonna make a cool collaboration.”

Well, suddenly Nat’s third album seems like it might be a decent enterprise, especially if it’s in the “Black and Gold” vein. In the meantime, she’ll appear on Nickelodeon’s teen series True Jackson, VP on November 21.
