Jay-Z Cancels Tour Dates, Raises Eyebrows

Jay-Z’s tour of college campuses and arenas was supposed to end Friday night in El Paso Texas, but Hova canceled the rest of his tour dates due to an “unforeseen scheduling conflict.” Obviously it’s because Beyoncé is pregnant, folks. Okay, proooobably not, but neither Jay nor concert promoter Live Nation is disclosing details.

Jay-Z may have mysteriously canceled his final three tour dates, but don’t expect this to be some indefinite hiatus on the way to a slow fadeout — he’s still scheduled to perform at this Sunday’s American Music Awards in Los Angeles, and he’s already announced his upcoming 2010 BP3 Tour starting up in February.

Did he have an unscheduled run-in with swine flu? Doubtful – he jumped onstage to sing “Run This Town” at Rihanna’s show at Brixton Academy in the UK last night.

Sounds as good as ever, right? Perhaps he’s just been called in for an emergency studio session to finish “Lost+.”

If you’re one of the unlucky fans whose show got canceled, you can always check Hova out on one of these dates in the new year. So cheer up already.
