The Saturdays Kick Super-Butt In The ‘Ego’ Video
Brit quintet The Saturdays have developed into quite the heiresses to the girlie-pop throne that Sugababes and Girls Aloud have shared over the past decade. And while the group’s second LP Wordshaker rapidly slid down (and then off) the Official U.K. Top 75 Albums chart after hitting record shops a month ago, the girls are probably hoping the just-released clip for new single “Ego” will give them a boost back into the good graces of record buyers. This time, they’re also deploying a powerful super-weapon: catsuits.
As “Ego” unfolds, the group uses their powers and skin-tight super costumes to thwart a former do-gooder-gone-bad who’s infiltrated City Hall. (This all seems a tad Heroes. And what is it with female singers doubling as super beings in the music videos popping up today?)
