Corinne Bailey Rae Returns With The Somber ‘I’d Do It All Again’

Corinne Bailey Rae will return from a two-year hiatus with a new album titled The Sea in February. The song “I’d Do It All Again” off the LP is a much more somber affair than Rae’s 2006 breakout smash “Put Your Records On,” as it appears to lyrically deal with singer’s husband of seven years, who passed away in 2008.

The music video for the track begins with Corinne waking up alone, then going through the motions of mundane, everyday tasks like putting on makeup, shopping for groceries and strolling through an empty park.

It’s melancholy perfectly captured in an elegant three-minute pop song. Catch the video for “I’d Do It All Again” by 2010 Lilith Fair performer Corinne Bailey Rae below the jump.
