CGI effects. Twirling around in a secret compound. Jade Ewen’s straight bangs and stiff ponytail. Is it just us or does the music video for “Wear My Kiss,” the third single off Sugababes delayed Sweet 7 album, bear more than a passing resemblance to TLC’s now-classic “No Scrubs” clip from 1999?

Two minutes of “Wear My Kiss” were previewed on Britain’s Channel 4 over the weekend. Why only two minutes, you ask?

“Omg! Sorry guys! I’m still waitin to see the finished version of WMK,” newest ‘babes member Jade Ewen tweeted on Sunday. “U must be gettin just as impatient as me! Hopefully we’ll have it soon!”

“Wear My Kiss” is the second Sugababes video in a row to be shot in the California desert, following recent U.K. Top 10 single “About A Girl.”

And for nostalgia’s sake, let’s have a look-see at “No Scrubs,” too!

Meanwhile, recently ousted Sugababes member Keisha Buchanan has been in the States cracking away on her solo album.

“Hi guys:-) Just been working on my album,” she posted Sunday on Twitter. “Still in LA, Thanks 4 ur support and tweets:-D”

Let’s hope she comes up with more imaginative material than some of the other former members of British pop trio.
