Nicki Minaj Goes For A Softer Vibe, Samples Annie Lennox On “Your Love”

Young Money’s NC-17-rated female MC Nicki Minaj tones things down a bit with her latest track “Your Love.” It’s a complete 180 from the Cassie tune “F*ck U Silly” that Nicki features on—which, judging by reader comments like “Cassie needs to just give up on music & take the Minaj broad w/ her!”, might be the best tactic for her.

“Your Love” samples Annie Lennox’s 1995 Grammy-winning hit “No More ‘I Love You’s’.” Hear the softer side of Nicki Minaj after the jump.

“Find me in the dark, I’ll be in the stars/ Find me in your heart, I’m in need of your love,” Minaj intones with Auto-Tuned vocals. Awwwww. Wonder if she scribbled this type of flowery prose in her notebook when she was in high school?

But, honestly—do we really expect her to stay this demure?
