Good morning everybody! We’re not sure who that girl on Vampire Weekend’s Contra album cover is, but we’re officially starting the rumor that it’s Ke$ha.  Let’s get to the mix: Did You Hear?

:: Is Madonna really trying to get pregnant at age 51? Why doesn’t she just pretend Jesus Luz (pictured above) is one of her offspring and call it a day? [The Superficial]

:: Bow Wow may have dropped the ‘Lil’, but he can’t shake his mom. Because she’s taken over Twitter. [Gawker]

:: Ludacris has released a new mixtape, Conjure: A Hustler’s Spirit, to build buzz for his official album and his own cognac line. Don’t tell Bill O’Reilly Luda’s back in the beverage business. [Smoking Section]

:: 50 Cent is reportedly working on a more “mainstream” album. You know what that means: the Twilight cast will be featured on every track. [Hip Hop Wired]

:: Mariah Carey calls her Golden Globes-baring dress from Sunday night’s awards ceremony “conservative.” The funny thing is, Rush Limbaugh wore the same exact dress on his show last week. How embarrassing. [WWTDD]

Behind the jump: a visionary music video director goes from indie romance to superhero blockbusters on the big-screen.

VIDEO REWIND OF THE DAY: Marc Webb, who directed the delightful (500) Days of Summer, in addition to countless music videos, has been tapped to take the reins on the rebooted Spider-Man franchise. Headline writers are already licking their chops over the web/Webb puns to come.

Although Webb has directed dozens of music videos featuring everyone from Green Day to Regina Spektor, our favorite has to be My Chemical Romance’s “I’m Not Okay (I Promise),” which helped launched the screamo-rock dudes into the mainstream. Love that it feels like it could actually be the trailer to a John Hughes movie—just an eensy bit louder. (And is it just us, or is that Scarlett Johannson’s long lost twin playing a cheerleader?)

Have a great day, everyone!
