Ke$ha Beats Lady Gaga’s Airplay Record In Record Time

Oh, what a difference a week can make. Lady Gaga unfortunately didn’t get to enjoy holding the record for most weekly spins for very long; in the past week, Ke$ha’s monster single “TiK ToK” has swiftly beaten “Bad Romance” for the airplay crown. Ke$ha’s ode to Diddy and Jack Daniels was played 11,224 times on the radio, 365 more times than Gaga’s smash. Let’s just add this to the pile of all the previous records set by the glitter maven in the last month.

We wouldn’t be surprised if Ke$ha was still passed out at this hour, so maybe someone can wake her up and tell her the good news? She’s touring France right now, and if her tweets are to be believed, she’s having a grand, ole time: “Last night was epic!! Trannies, got a tooth chipped and 2 chunks of glitter stuck in my eye.” Ah, an evening just as classy as the single cover art (above) to “Blah Blah Blah,” in which Ms. Sebert appears to be upchucking her own song title while wrapping her naked body with the American flag. Can’t wait to see how Ke$ha bonds with all the other ladies of Lilith Fair. (Norah Jones: watch out.)

Apparently, her time in France may even inspire her next album. She tweeted, “France..u inspired a new song ‘2 french dudes, wearin sweet thongs, looking so fly, playin ping pong’ u like?”

No, we don’t like. But we’re sure it’ll be played on the radio ad naseum.
